I'm trying different settings, a strange piece of data has been appearing for some time: I don't understand the distance shown in the penultimate line, it used to be the distance from the motor 1, now I don't understand where it comes from.

The signal selection for the RTK engines in your screenshot is poor. All four engines are configure with the same signals so you are essentially only using one RTK engine. Signal Variety is a measure of how differently the signals are configured for each engine. Since you have all 4 engines configure the same way, it will not increase beyond 0.

The optimal configuration is with each engine configured to use 2 signals for each constellation and each signal should be used not more than twice so that all engines are different. Here is an example:

To configure each engine, long press on it. Make sure not to press Auto Setup Engines and make sure Auto Setup RTK engines is Off once you configure your RTK engines so that the configuration does not get changed.

Also you want to set each engine to be able to use 60 signals. This setting is found in Setup > General > RTK/DGPS > Advanced RTK Settings > Engine 1 > Max Settings. After changing it to 60 press Apply to All. This will allow the RTK engines to use more signals and will improve performance.

In my tests I found that this configuration resulted in 5 times faster RTK performance and it will result in Signal Variety increasing much faster and to a higher level.

The cause of the cellular modems not connecting to the internet or mount point is typically poor cellular service.

I attempted to try your recommended settings today but I believe I had something wrong. I have attached some screenshots of my settings and what my engines looked like. It appears that it was not restricted to 2 signals per constellation. Can you tell me if you seen anything I have missed?

You must manually configure the RTK and select the signals that you want for each engine to try this. To configure each engine, long press on it and then you will be able to manually select signals.

Thank you Matt. I finally realized how this is done. I have copied my settings to match yours from the previous post. Just to be clear, you don't ever use the "Auto Setup RTK" with this configuration?

Get the engineers to make this best use setup a default setting or at least add a button to set the engines up in this configuration... you can do it. They need to give us a way to turn off the Auto Setup Engine button if we don't need to press it. I've used it religiously... it will be a hard habit to break!

I totally agree. It has become muscle memory for me. I immediately had to remove it from my white box. Im gonna be testing this week and will report back.

I repeat that the lack of detailed information makes us use our equipment inappropriately, I also had understood that autosetup, with the other option: no same frequency, would choose the best combination of constellation and frequencies for us. Now after more than a year we have understood (we who follow the forum) that this is not the case. But couldn't it be possible, perhaps in the next firmware, to ensure that this choice is made automatically by the receiver? There haven't been any explanatory videos for a while, maybe it's time for some more Product Training

You should not have to change anything once its setup. For what its worth, those settings were terribly unproductive for me. I do think they may yield more accurate results over time, they were terribly slow. It actually seemed to do quite the opposite of what I had hoped. It even seemed slower in the wide open. Just my experience.

Josh, i had the same results as yours, in the open sky 360°, without obstructions, (with corrections from the RTN network with 4 constellations about 28 km away) many difficulties in fixing (times too long for the actual conditions). In less open areas the counter times faster....

I was seeing those results with a base 1000’ away. I also tried it several different times with no success.
 
Ditto, new T1M+, had to migrate to pre-release on the LS+ to get it to work. Problems with Video Guide and the engine settings could never get it to work as it is Supposed To. Finally migrated back to Release on the LS+ and using the old T1m as a uhf base, works as before. ?? Please give us a detailed up to date manual!!

Thank you for this, Matt. Got the parameters set optimally. Good job on the testing!
May I suggest that the developers consider setting the engine parameters to an optimal configuration for us end users. One would expect the auto setup to be an optimal configuration. I did not even know that these setting existed.
I have two kids and can't spend as much time on this forum as I would like, so the optimal pre-set would be helpful.
I've been operating with the auto engine setup for three years. It had chosen a AFCL of low and Max Signals of 38, maybe I've been limited all this time. We'll see, but I'll go with the tested config.
