Rebooting to get the shot...?

I've noticed a real lag in my LS+ performance lately. I've been using the same settings for a while with the only difference is preprogramming each engine to use certain channels to help reach the variety setting. I use the precise topo setting most of the time.

How it behaves: When I walk into the woods and get ready to take a shot (just normal amount of canopy, not too thick) I stand the rod up and it's usually green and showing 2-3 satellites locked. As soon as I click Start, it immediately clicks once and then nothing most of the time. It had some locked until I clicked start. I usually can place my hand on the top for a second and it might collect another click or three after I move it off. It's frustrating.

What's weird to me is that I can leave it right where it is at and reboot it and when I click start it will complete the full shot in seconds? I might get another couple of shots before it slows back down again. If I ever get to taking to long to progress on a shot almost anywhere, I can reboot it and it will take the shot easily.

This LS+ was sent in for repair and I'm not positive of what all was replaced, but what would cause it to progress through the shot after a reboot when it struggles to complete one? This is regular behavior in multiple conditions... sometimes in mostly open areas. I'll try to video it if I remember.

What would you look at?

How many signals are you using in each engine? I have seen some set at 60 for each engine and that is too many and the whole system slows down. It is too much processing for each engine to handle. I have always used 28 for engine 1 and 38 for each of the other 3 engines.

I believe it is high. Let me lower it and report back. Thanks!

They were on 60. Let me give it a run. Not sure how long ago I set them that way. Hope it helps!

Does Javad still have the LS to LS+ upgrade option?

Smells like a lot....not sure if you are using a base, but if so remember to clear the nram out . The reboot of the ls is forcing a reset of the satellite configuration...I assume you utilize the reset,/auto reset on a regular basis when site conditions change. I tend to do this before every shot. Just my uneducated two cents....

I appreciate that Ken. I do use a base. I do not clear the NVram out too often. I might need to try that if it isn't clear up. I no longer use the Reset Engines button although I did try it when I was having the problem again the other day... it did not help unfortunately. I have had pretty good results preprogramming each engine to generate better signals variety:
