What is the number one big request to add to the LS?

1. Radio-transparent sun shade.
On a hot day here in Florida the 55c operating limit kicks in. The display had abruptly gone black while collecting a point in "boundary" profile, I thought the screen was sleeping but the lights were blinking differently and it would not respond. After spending 5 min in front of a/c vent it accepted a forced reboot and showed 56c on internal temp. After 6 hrs work on a sunny day with a bipod so top was up all of the time.

2. Hilti ® style tip to shoot nails into concrete. ( this has been on my wish list for about 30 years but I still hope ).

3. What Nate said sounds good too.

Thanks party chief 3 for making this lazy guy break the calculator out and convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. 131° for all you other lazy people. What's next? Hopefully not inches.

Cute, Nate. That red though clashes with the Javad green. I'd go w/ a camo cutting board. Really, it's the latest. I think Filson sells an entire line of camo cutting boards for the LS. Or if they don't, they will soon!

Sorry about the color clash... I was in a hurry, and it came in a 2 pack. One red, and one green. I was saving the green one, for doing a neater job... I cut the holes in the cutting mat, with my pocket knife... So, it was my trial run... Color clash? My wife knows about those sort of things.... (She's who I usually hear about it from!)

Haha. Actually the comment came from my wife who was looking over my shoulder when I pulled up your photos. I think her exact words were, "He could have picked a better color--" I tried to defend you but didn't get far.

Mr Garner, You're welcome sir.
I just quoted from the manual. I don't know what a Celsius is. Ain't " c " the speed of light in a vacuum?

Nate, I was thinking of the fabric umbrella type. Like the one with struts and a headband to wear to those outdoor adult beverage parties. If it is big enough it will shade the screen too.
( But there ain't no boxes around your thinking ).

I was thinking of the fabric umbrella type.

I once owned a large 42-48" diameter umbrella that was made for surveyors that I used for a decade when I worked in south Georgia. I remember it being essential to keep the Leica equipment from frying. It was attached to a 6-6 1/2' rod that sank securely into the dirt. Fabric was waterproofed. NO idea was it would have done to GNSS signals. (It sure was better looking than Nate's cutting board!)
