Why I have been trying to get Javad to simplify the whole LS program

I went to a job yesterday. It was a SIMPLE job, I'd already surveyed the East side of it, a road. I'd already surveyed the SOUTH side of it, a desc I'd written. The WEST side was a creek. The north side was a creek.
My Job was to survey the CREEK, and then SLIDE the north line, to give it 10 acres.

The deal was to go to the CLIENTS house, (No cell service) and get him, as this is WAY out in the sticks. So, we went and got him. He had a nice tractor, and bush hog. This is about a 40 HP newer tractor, and a 6' bush hog. He was to drive the tractor a mile down the road, and my son was to drive CLIENTS 4-wheeler, to the site. Site was about a mile from his house.
I left first, then my son on the ATV, then Client on tractor. As we drove along, a SUDDEN storm hit. I mean 40 mph gusts, and all. I pulled on to the survey site, and the rain HIT HARD. My son was about 10' behind me, and 10 feet to the RIGHT of me, in my blind spot. Suddenly, a FIREBALL lightning came on, about 75' in front of my truck, FLASHBOOM! I was shaking, but exited my truck, to check on my son. He was excitedly dismounting the ATV, and telling me about "The electricity". We sat in the truck, and 20 min later, it was all over, and the sun was coming out. Client left the tractor with us, and went home on his ATV.
We were able to survey the creek, via my ATV, due to drought conditions. Not a big problem.
Then, I tried to use acreage. We sat in the truck. After about 20 minutes, we figured out the acreage routine. Then, we used TRIAL and ERROR to get the acreage to 10.003 acres. And, staked the new north line.
Went home.
Now., I am TRYING to get Pre-determined acreage to work. In the office. Still cannot get it.
I would appreciate a heads up from Javad and company.
What direction is this company headed, and IF you would allow me, I can SIMPLIFY this stuff.
I am willing to WRITE flow charts for all the cogo, and make it SO SIMPLE, that a manual will NOT be needed.
The data collection is second to none.
Lets finish this program.
Thank you,

Nate

Nate: I feel your pain. I thought that I had figured out the Predetermined area routine, but, I don't use it very often. The last time I tried, I wasted an hour before giving up and using my TS data collector. Next time, I'm going to take a laptop with me. Sending the coords back and forth to the LS will take time, but, I'm sure that I will be further ahead time wise overall using a routine that I'm familiar with.

Glad you all survived the lightning strike!

The lightning fire ball, was distracting, and the client was distracting, and the storm was distracting, and the issues of the survey were interesting.
Here is a pic from this job.

This was taken later in the day, and shows the beauty of the area.

My basic point is that: In a modern world, where we can put robots on the moon, we can talk on cell phones, from all over the place, we SHOULD be able to generate cogo, that works efficiently, confidently, and for sure. It's the next logical step.
Come on. Why not?

I would like you to get this done. I nominate Nate. I want to be able to calc acreage easily in cogo and inverse to line easily.

Trial and error works for me. Pre-determined area calculations are not too intuitive on this software, and there are not many direct options to do what I need. Like you did, I get close and call it good.

Same deal with cogo, I tried to figure out how to stake a curve.....no luck. I ended up using my laptop and computing points along the curve.
