@Eugene Aksyonov can you give more details on this feature. I know we discussed it, but I never heard about it being implemented.
This is T-LS guys's question.Alexey, you are the man! I am going out today to field verify the points collected at that point in time. I would love to know where to look and/or what settings to change to be informed at the LS of a base shift like this.
@Eugene Aksyonov can you give more details on this feature. I know we discussed it, but I never heard about it being implemented.
Phillip, we have this support in T-2 and T-1M. And Triumph-LS can alert you that Base is moved or felt down...
It seems we have to pay more attention to features promottion
Since there apparently IS a compass in the T-2, and there is apparently a tilt sensor, in the T-2. THEN:
It follows that when setting up the T-2 as base, that the magnetic compass reading, AND the TILT could be recorded, in the raw data file.
Calibration of the T-2, would not be needed, because we are looking for CHANGE, not absolute values.
And, if that is true, then every 5 mins, the T-2 could SEND the compass heading, and the Tilt degrees to the LS. OR
If the value changed by X amount, in the T-2, from the time the base was set. This would also be good, as we would have instant notification, when the base was moved.
And, IF those numbers VARIED, by X amount, then it could display on the LS,
"Base has rotated by X degrees from when base was set"
"Base has tilted by x degrees, from when base was set"
And, calibration, would be i relevant... all that is needed to know is CHANGE, and how much. And, you can press OK, and the message disappears.
And, then if it changes again, it repeats.
OCCASIONALLY, a tractor may drive by the base, and addle the compass. Or, a base station, up high on a rail, with cars going by could addle the compass. So, it would be good to be able to turn off COMPASS change notifications. (This would be only at the LS, the base would continue to send them). But, default should be on.
Thanks for being a company that has a forum, for this kind of feedback.

Also @Michael Stazhkov it might be good to lower the threshold from 15 degrees to 5 degrees (or add an option to customize the value) if this will work without the compass on the base needing calibrated often. It would also be nice to display the tilt values of the base in the UHF/TCP info screens and in the right panel of Base/Rover Setup.
I agree with John. I would even say 2 degrees of movement should be reported to the user. I noticed the add service info setting a while back and wondered what it did. I meant to post about it but it slipped my mind. Cool feature!
I was not able to get the tilt notification to work, however. I turned on the Add Service Info as shown but got no error message when I deliberately threw the base setup out of plumb and level.
I'm guessing that the Triumph-2 level and compass calibration can only be done with Javad Mobile Tools. Is that still the case?
