I don't know the names of screens, and I don't know all that is involved here, so I am bringing this up for discussion.
This Screen:
It seems to me that the SELECTION of coordinate Origins, for a particular group, ie, BASE point, and it's related sideshots, we should be ABLE to select the SOURCE coord, ie, 1 Local, DPOS, autonamous, or simply manual entry. (This I guess would then show up as a 1 Local). This is strictly the selection for the BASE coord.
HOWEVER, the selection for the SIDESHOTS, we should be able to select EITHER RTK, (Base to Rover RTK) or PPK (Base to Rover, PPK) as an INDEPENDENT selection.
So, we should be able to set M-Local as base source. and then pick what we want, for the sideshot.
In the above screen shot, you see it asking the question, 1-Local, or PPK or RTK.
IF I select 1-Local, I cannot select PPK.
This does not make sense.
These processes are independent in my mind. However, DOPS seems to be locking us in... so that we cannot use M-Local, for base, and PPK from that M-local, to the rover.
This becomes highly relevant when... we have a SHORT base time, and a PPK.
So, if we have a 1 hr base time, and a 40 minute PPK, it's forcing me to USE the coordinate origin, from DPOS. When the M-local coord is more accurate, because the coord it came off of, was from an 8 hr DPOS.
Another way to say this, is WHY cannot we SELECT the base coord, and leave it alone, and then have free selection of RTK, or PPK from that base?
Thank you,
Nate
