It's not clear to me from either the brochure or the video what mechanism is used to adjust the leg lengths. My biggest gripe about the Seco bipod is that the legs lack fine adjusters, and the push-button mechanism has so much backlash that plumbing the pole is more time-consuming than it need be.

Jim, the legs of the JPod have the same style clamps as the monopod. The leg adjustment is very smooth. When clamping them there is very little backlash like you see in the seco.

Thoughts, having watched the Video:
The J-Tip can work, on the 3rd leg of the J-Pod. Does sound emanate from the LS, while searching?
Or, does the Jtip have a speaker on it?
thanks.

The video with j-tip and j-pack and j-pod may be one you want to refer to using a full page of the monthly Javad Advertisements in the Survey magazines. A picture just like you got on the website and maybe include the dog who looks like a older mellow Blue Heeler. So the guy with the backpack has the LS turned on all the time, but presses the "lock" button, whenever the LS is upside down in the backpack, is that correct. Does the backpack have a snug fit for the LS to allow for hiking in rough steep rocky land where a surveyor may fall down now and then. Phil

To my knowledge, the J-pod is still in development. A better picture of the J-Pack can be found on the JAVAD Home Page>JAVAD GNSS>MENU>Accessories>J-Pack>More Information. You must then click on the Buy Icon and then J-Pack icon to see the price ($290 ++). There is a place for my wine!! I intend to purchase one for my Christmas present.

I would like to purchase the J-POD. It's on the site in the accessories category.

Is it in stock and ready for shipping?

Anyone have any thoughts on it's use? I've used either a Seco carbon fiber, telescoping rover rod with a bi/tri pod as necessary or the Javad telescoping rover rod with a seco bipod (the clamp compresses the Javad tubing and potentially causes telescoping resistance). The latter seems to work fairly well with one exception - I can't lock the base bi-pod legs in place for transport.

I'm thinking the new J-POD is the ideal solution.

A week ago I purchased and paid ($350 ($250 + S&H)) for a J-Pack. Today I got a computer generated email from support, that says (buried within the Order information): "Current Order Stage: Manufacturing". I am concluding that although they are taking orders, and full payment in advance, that the J-Pack has not been manufactured and They are not giving any indication when they expect delivery.

Jim, The last time I talked to support I was told that the J-Pod is not in production. I didn't and don't know if they are taking orders.
