Forced update did not work this time either. I would like to send it out and possibly be able to get it back by the week after Christmas. Do you think that is possible? How should I ship it?
You'll get instructions from the RMA email. I'm not in San Jose, where the work will be done, but we'll ask, through the RMA email, for a time estimate before you ship. Unless there is some current shortage in the necessary components, I would think that it could be returned in that time frame.

Yes. That's right. Before you send it in, you will want to do a full backup. Home>Files>Full Backup and Restore. Maybe even twice. Just to be safe, I'd also Archive your projects. Those projects are stored in the Full Backup you'll be creating, and while the full backup procedure is remarkably reliable, I wouldn't chance something like field data. The receiver will come back to you wiped clean.

Shawn will a full backup save my equipment setups or should I write down all my settings before sending? Will the Microsd be wiped clean too?

I believe you can keep the microSD card. So it wouldn't be wiped. I'd backup to the microSD and remove it, and backup to USB (just in case). Then when you get the receiver back, use the restore from backup. It will restore all of your settings, codes, tags, etc. They did a great job with the restore feature.

Cool, so I don't need to leave the micro in the LS?
