Matt, Why do you think the T3NR collected 3 or 4 times the shots over the LS+? Settings? More advanced software? What was used for a base?

Looks like a communication issue with the LS+. Especially in the second video.
I had the settings in my LS+ for my boundary profile so if I have to walk away from the LS that it will not store a bad shot. I could have stored the shots earlier but I wanted it to play out. I still have testing to do.
The communication was the same for both receivers. Both receivers were tied to the same hotspot and the base was broadcasting over internal sim card.
With all of that said, I do think the new hardware running new firmware is better. However, there are things in Jfield that I can not do my surveying without here in KY. I think the T3NR will be faster but JMT lacks some of the required features necessary for documentation purposes for our state regulations.

Thanks for the videos, I would love see more of how JMT is working. Does it still operate with multiple RTK engines? It looks like is does not support RTPK? Does it still use the 3 stage process we are accustomed to with j-field? How do you know if your fix is good other than taking multiple shots and inversing or averaging?

It does support RTPK. I did not have the option enabled on the receiver at the time of the videos. There is a verify setting that you can choose to make it shoot say for instance 2 or 3 groups of 15 epochs. It will force it to drop the fix between groups.
With that said I have not stored or seen any bad fixes with the new gear.

I am not sure. To be honest I am not sure what they could do to increase productivity.

With J-Field, for reliability multiple levels of checking & verification, etc. are encouraged on the setups. Are the same point processing used with the T3NR and Jmobile tools?
Could this be a factor in # points collected in a time frame?

Good to hear, it would be nice if there was a plan to add simple routines to JMT to run a total station. It’s hard to justify buying the j-mate when you only need an occasional shot or two with a conventional instrument you probably already own. I think that is one of the major hold backs for people buying JAVAD, not being able to switch between gnss and conventional total station with the same controller.

JMT should run on any Android device. We haven't tested every device out there though. If anyone comes across an Android device that doesn't work let us know please.
My new tests today. T3NR with JMT with a T3 base over cellular. 9 shots over 3 1/2 hrs. No bad fixes. 15 epoch and forced reset tracking after every stored shot. No it isn’t realistic to stay at a point that long but knowing that it will not give a bad fix is priceless.

What tablets are you running JMT on? In your experience does it require a lot of processing speed and ram? I’ve been looking at Samsung galaxy’s, the A7 lite is inexpensive and would keep the weight down, just not sure if it’s “enough” tablet for it. Would something like the active3 be a better fit?

That is the same tablet that I am running for this test. So far I am happy with it. I just purchased it on Saturday. It has done everything I have asked of it so far with no complaints.
Mark, To be honest, I am not sure. I have not used anything with an IMU. The T3NR has one but the firmware is not ready for that to be turned on yet. I will keep you posted.
