I like the big pics too.... just not all the time.
In my pre-Javad days, I developed a few methods to check things.
Often, it was just move the rover 5 or 10 feet, and compass and box tape between them. This was done to change the multipath environment significantly enough, to provide a check. Often, I'd shoot the corner. Then the offset point, (Named it's compass and dist to corner) and then RE-shoot the corner. Others include SWING TIE. (D/D int) and straight line offset. Find corner, and flag it. Set up rover at offset 10-20 feet, and measure between rover, and corner. Use plumb bob to I-ball corner, and pole. Set Bob. Now, move rover to plumb bob position.
Now all 3 are in straight line. A good fast check of my data.
I don't often do this today... but the concept remains the same VERIFY!
