OK, I am trying to get all the way up and running... My base radio, is a 35 watt one. I ran it all day today, at 5 hz, and at 1/2 watt power. It got awfully hot. And quit. I unplugged it, and plugged in the fan, and re-plugged it in. How much heat is NORMAL at 1/2 watt? I was running all within 1/4 mile of the base. I was doing testing, and experimenting. And, figuring it out. If I recall correctly, I was told I did not need a fan for the 4 watt radio. And, if I did not run the 35 watt one at over some 13 watts (figure is from memory, during sales call) then I did not need a fan. Well, I opted for the fan. All my work from now on, will have the fan running. So I can keep going. At what wattage level should the fan be plugged in? Thanks!
