This new version addresses a few small bugs and adds a new feature: Base Guard.

details about the Base Guard feature can be read here:
http://www.javad.com/jgnss/javad/news/pr20170906.html

It is imperative that before you attempt to survey with this version that you update the firmware of your base receiver. If you do not update the firmware in your base receiver, you will not be able to start your base, leaving you dead in the water when you go to the field!

You can update the base receiver firmware by using NetView&Modem or you can use Javad Mobile tools from your Android or iOS device.

This version is not the much anticipated Linux update, however, the Linux coding is coming along very well. More information will be shared when we know more.

Another great feature of this build is support for repeaters. Those of you with Triumph-1/1M receivers and an external radio or a Triumph-2 with two external radios will be able use an external radio as a repeater. In base rover setup, under UHF configuration, make sure the modulation is set to D8PSK and make sure that UHF Configuration>Others that Enable SNRM and Base Transmit to Repeater are on when starting the base. Note that currently there is no indication that To Base needs to be initiated if the only changes to UHF Configuration are Enable SNRM and Base Transmit to Repeater. So if you change these values, make sure to press To Base, even if you do not see any red text on the base rover setup screen.

Once the base has been started, you can configure the repeater for the UHF screen accessed from the top row of the Home screen or the communication button on the Action screen. At the bottom of the UHF setup screen you will see an option for Repeater. You will need a DB15 to USB cable for your radio (or DB15, USB, Power for HPT-404BT radio) to configure it from the Triumph-LS. In recent months (I'm not sure of exact date) the DB15 to USB cable has been shipped with new Javad radios, but prior to this DB9 cables were shipped. Since there is no DB9 port on the LS, you will need the USB cable. This is a good cable to have in your kit at all times anyway as it is useful for reestablishing Bluetooth pairing to a base should the need arise.

If you wish to return to using the radio paired by Bluetooth to the base again, base rover setup overwrites the repeater settings the next time.

There has been a bug in it... During phase 1, collect, if it finished phase 1, while you were still entering pt desc, it would do screen shots, and return the LS to your control, without whatever you had entered as pt desc.
Do you know if that one got fixed?

Shawn;
What version firmware should the T2 have? I just updated tonite and now have 3.6.11 May 31, 2017.

Firmware version 3.6.12 or higher is need for Base Guard to work. Bases cannot be started with firmware versions older than 3.6.8.

Before I start updating all three of our T1M systems tomorrow I want to be sure here. In the update section on the website it says the last "stable" version is 3.6.11 which is what Sean said he updated to.

The "latest" is version 3.7.2. That version - 3.7.2 is mandatory for the new "release" update in Jfield to work properly?

And, with 3 systems where we mix/match on jobsites sometimes, I'll definitely need to be sure and get all three updated to 3.7.2 to make sure all jobs are started with that version of firmware?

Also, with the firmware in the radios being able to be updated via Bluetooth now, why not the T1M and T2? Seems only logical (geez that sounds like Spock).
While not earth shatteringly difficult to do with Netview or Modem VU it would be easy peasy to just click "check for updates" and if an update is available click "install update" ;)

You need 3.6.12 or higher for Base Guard to work, so yes, update to the Latest version which is 3.7.2. Updating the base firmware through the LS is implemented in the Test version of J-Field. It will probably be in the next Release version of J-Field after this version.

I updated J-Field this morning. Base Guard doesn't seem to work with my system. I get the same error as I had a few weeks ago.

T-2 Firmware Version 3.7.2 Aug.31,2017
RTCM 3.0 Min over TCP

If I uncheck Show Base Alerts, the base starts fine and RTK is Fixed.

Can you leave the LS connected to Remote Support overnight Sunday night with the base powered on as well? Someone could probably investigate the issue then.

I got the first system updated on both firmware in the base and the available release updates in the LS.

I started the base and rover and all the base displacement settings were left at the default settings . (only one that's different than in the add is acceleration threshold is set to 50 instead of 5).

Show base alerts was also left checked on. I did a "to base" and everything started up fine.

Then, just to test, we started "tilting" the base and even after severe tilting of it, I was not getting an alert on my LS.

Is there another setting in the LS to be changed?

Need to calibrate tilt sensors in the base also.
Yep...just figured that out! Sibole told me he thought that's why it wasn't reading - hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere.
Didn't even know the base could be calibrated......found the thread "base got bumped off point" and Matt described how to calibrate using bluetooth and then using the calibrate tool in Jfield on the LS..
